Why Probiotics?
The history of Natural Pharm Source and the Eisenstein nutricuetical line

My father and I have always had a very special relationship. We did things together above and beyond the typical father and son things. It was in 1996, when I was newly married, and my wife and I expecting our first child, that my dad called me saying "Let’s go to law school together. I don't want to go alone." Not thinking he was serious, I said yes. The next semester we matriculated at John Marshall Law School.
Law school with Dad was not the typical experience you hear about. There was no demoralizing, by the teachers, of any student when my father was in the classroom. Just as in his practice of medicine, he established a tone of courtesy and mutual respect, which was typically lacking in these law classroom settings. In his presence everyone always felt special. Make no mistake, it still felt like the Rodney Dangerfield movie “Back to School”, a parallel no doubt felt by the writer, AT Palmer, in this Chicago Tribune article from 1998.
Soon after graduation and passing the Bar my father very quickly realized his love for medicine far outweighed anything he might want to do in law, although law continued to play a role in his practice. Helping families with vaccine rights became a very important part of his practice. This mission continues today at the Eisenstein Clinics in the Chicagoland area, under the direction of my sister Dr. Jen Eisenstein DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice), who worked together with our father for five years.
Due to health reasons I stopped practicing law for a while in the early 2000's. Dad approached me again about helping him with a new project. He was unhappy with the supplements he was finding for his patients and wanted to design his own. Of course I said yes, there was no denying Dad. We began to research what he wanted for his supplements and where to have them manufactured.
He had a few principles for us to follow. First, he wanted results based products. People should be able to measure or feel a distinct difference when using his products. Second, he wanted probiotics added to every formula that they could be. Yes, today you may see probiotics in many promoted products, but when we started most people couldn’t comprehend the need for them. They had very little clue what probiotics were or what the did. The intent was simple: the probiotics would increase absorption and potency of every product as it helped the body digest the nutrients. Each of the formulas has been designed to treat and prevent the most common medical conditions of patients.

Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, MD, JD, MPH(1946-2014), is a graduate of the University of Illinois Medical School, the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Public Health, and the John Marshall Law School. In his 40 years in medicine, he and his practice have cared for over more than 50,000 children who were minimally or not vaccinated at all. There is virtually no autism, asthma, allergies, respiratory illness, or diabetes in our unvaccinated children, a telltale revelation when compared to national rates.
