Survey Finds CoQ10 Tops Pharmacist Recommendations
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (PRWEB) AUGUST 24, 2016
The CoQ10 Association reported the results today of its pharmacist survey. Eighty-three percent of pharmacists surveyed recommend CoQ10 to some of their customers making it one of the top recommended nutrients. CoQ10 is the fourth most consumed specialty supplement in North America. The CoQ10 Association is a group focused on transparent CoQ10 manufacturing and promotion of dialogue between industry, healthcare professionals and the public.
The nationwide survey designed and written by Ooyen Research, LLC was conducted in April 2016 on behalf of the CoQ10 Association. The survey includes data from 200 independent U.S. pharmacists and was conducted online by Research Now. Key findings include:
“CoQ10 is known to be essential for producing energy throughout the body, but common factors such as poor diet, stress and statin use can create noticeable deficiencies, which makes CoQ10 supplementation essential,” says Scott Steinford, founder and executive director of the CoQ10 Association. “Pharmacists are one of the first health care professionals to address CoQ10 with consumers, so we are pleased to see they are aware of this critical nutrient and we are focused on continuing to educate this group and all health care professionals on CoQ10’s benefits.”
The CoQ10 Association will be expanding its healthcare professional resource section on its website later this year.
